OHM…. AHHHH…. BREATHE….DESTRESS…..

Wind Down Wednesdays are a time to come, create and wind down from the stresses of the world. We will have weekly themed projects or you can just come and work at your own pace / project.

I, Christy Freeman Stark, will be hosting. I have my 2nd Degree Reiki Certification and have finished Therapeutic Art Coaching Classes. I am not a Therapist! Just here to facilitate a space of peace and safety where you can destress through Art.

Some of our projects will help with focus, stress, busy mind, anxiety and more. But if you are overwhelmed, I encourage you to seek counsel with a professional therapist.

We will start each session with a 10 minute grounding meditation. Deep Breathes. No worries. – Calm, soothing music (I love Native American Flutes) and Soft yet workable lighting.

Projects include (but not limited to)

  • Mandala Art – for zen, past/present/future, life goals, gratitude, feeling
  • Tree Art – (same as above)
  • Gratitude Cards
  • Coloring (yes…just take time to sit, converse, chill and color)
  • Basic painting – watercolor / acrylics – flowers, trees, landscapes, free flow
  • Vision Boards / Dream Boards – mixed media
  • Clay – get your hands dirty
  • Journaling – how to create a fun, artsy journal. Take time for yourself.
  • Dreamcatchers – super calming. The winding of the strings

All materials will be supplied. You can bring in your own if desired. Sign up online or email me to get registered.

This will be a free flowing class. Depending on the participants, we can move freely from project to project.

Allow 2 hours – but the timing is flexible

  • 5:30pm – 8pm
  • Kids Welcome – Mine will be there!
  • $25/night/person

If you know me or have worked with me in the past, you know I am flexible and want you to have the best experience possible. I want this class to be something you look forward to. A night for yourself. Put your worries aside for an evening and take away some tools or artsy ways to manage your stress.
